The sun and the moon are distant cousins
or perhaps they’re long distance lovers.
At night when the moon arrives, the sun
smiles coyly cause she’s so enamored of the moon.
But she knows he’ll be leaving soon.
In the morning light, the moon’s gravelly voice
can be heard moaning about being dangerous & blue,
saying, “I can’t stay here anymore. Got to board that train.”
When the moon hops a train to go away,
the sun struggles to try and love freely.
Surely, he’ll return, she sings a blues song
as she takes her place in the distant sky.
So far away, yet so near.
A paradox of hearts, minds, & feelings.
Peace & Love,
