About Me

My name is Rosalind Guy. I work as an English teacher at Wooddale High School, where I teach honors and standard classes and sponsor the Drama Club. I am an adjunct professor at Southwest Tennessee Community College. I’m also a freelance writer and copyeditor. My first book, Skinny Dipping in the Pool of Womanhood, was published in February 2013. The second book, Tattered Butterfly Wings, is due out in November 2013.

I formerly worked as a reporter for the Memphis Daily News where I won several awards for my writing. Some of those articles can be found here: http://www.memphisdailynews.com/

I have been writing all my life. I love words and the power they possess. Writing frees me from all the shit that tries to weigh me down.

Occasionally, I will post poems on my blog. They will be in various stages of the writing process. They are all original pieces and copyrighted by me. I hope you will visit  my blog often and enjoy my work and share with your friends, but please be sure to attribute my work to me.
